SAMBA, Aug 4: Two students of Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya (JNV) Nud got injured after they were allegedly beaten by the vice principal of the school yesterday in the school premises.
According to sources, the incident happened last evening when the two students Manik Raina, 12, son of Sushil Kumar of Sajana and Bharat Bushan, 13, of Radyal, were drinking water in the school premises when suddenly the vice principal of the school reached on the spot and started to beat them.
After the incident, both the students went in the class room where again the vice principal came and again thrashed them.
In view of their condition, both the students were brought to District Hospital Samba for treatment. In the meantime, the school administration informed the parents of the students that their wards got injured as they slipped in the school premises while playing.
After receipt of the information, parents of the students arrived at District Hospital Samba where they found traces of some mark on their children's arms.
One of the students has sustained a minor fracture in his arm. Family members said that vice principal of the school acted in brutal manner adding that if their children were at fault then the school administration should have informed them rather than beating them mercilessly.
They demanded strict action against the vice principal of the school who beat their children without any reason.
After receipt the information, a team of police station Samba reached the spot and started investigation.
In this regard, police have taken cognizance of the matter and further investigation was going on. |
