Local area committee submits memorandum to AFCONS

kishtwar, Aug 4: CVPP project affected local area committee held a meeting and presented memorandum to AFCONS Management.
In a statement Tapal demanded jobs to each member of 34 rehabilitated families from Arzi village without any delay, application of zero distance recruitment policy, Preference to land loosers and land affected families,Preference and adjustment of all local contractors as per their capacity and experience, Providing of proper wages and allowances to workers, Providing of hospital and medical facilities to workers as well as local public, Providing of to and fro transport facility to workers without any delay, Providing of safe drinking water facility to workers, Installation of urinals/washrooms at site, Maintaining of proper environment by way of planting more trees in the project area, Installation of crash barriers from zero point to power house area to avoid fatal accidents, Controlling pollution by way of water sprinkling on roads, Installation of poles for lightening roads in the project area to avoid accidents.
In addition to this Tapal has demanded CVPP management to make ED office functional at District HQ kishtwar, Shifting of Office and Residential Colony upto GM level at Site,Providing and Managing of "A" class hospital at Dul, Providing and Managing of School at Dul, Development of project affected villages under CSR scheme, Fixing of Quota for project affected families in permanent posts in CVPP. Tapal has said the motive of the formation of this Committee is to ensure the justice to land rehablitated families, Land loosers, project affected families and workers working in the project. In addition to this Tapal has said the Committee will not allow anyone to blackmail and disturb the main executing agency in the interest of the area, state and country. All present in the meeting requested in one voice to Governor J&K N.N Vohra and Advisor to Governor J&K to look into the genuine issues of Project Land Affected.
