Jammu, Aug 27: Urban Forestry Division in collaboration with Girls Hostel Govt Medical College, Jammu celebrated Van Mahostava. Anup Soni IFS Divisional Forest Officer, Urban Forestry Division , Jammu started the plantation drive by planting Neem plant in the premises of Girls Hostel Medical College Jammu.
Dr. Seema Gupta Pharmacologist cum Warden Girls Hostel Jammu also planted Guava plant in the same premises. A total of 70 plants of medicinal, ornamental value were planted. Anup Soni IFS DFO Urban Forestry Jammu highlighted the imitative of Urban Forestry Division where Institutional plantation was carried out in different institutions like schools , colleges, hostels. Till date about 15000 plants under Institutional plantation were planted. Rakesh Verma Range Officer also highlighted the importance of Institutional plantation and said that everyone should plant atleast 05 plants so that ecological balance can be maintained.
