| SAD condemns attack on President DSGMC | | |

JAMMU, Aug 27: A meeting of SAD (Badal) was held at party's office Gurdwara Guru Nanak Dev Ji Chand Nagar Jammu under the chairmanship of Jathedar Mohinder Singh, Party President where in the Physical assault on President DSGMC Manjit Singh G.K in the premises of a religious place in California USA was strongly condemned. Singh is on a religious mission to finalize the arrangements for century celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev Ji birthday in USA. While on visit the Gurudwara at California he was physically assaulted by some miscreants in the Gurudwara premises. This type of incident at the religious places is condemned by one and all. It has hurt the sentiments of whole Sikh community all over India. Although anybody can have the grievances, but those can be expressed in a peaceful manner. It indicates this is the handiwork of antinational and antisocial elements that are playing in the hands of some agencies who are bent to divide the Sikh community. It was impressed upon the external affairs ministry to take up the matter with USA Govt. to deal with these culprits and take stern actions under law. Similarly an appeal is made to the American high commission at New Delhi to take a serious note of the incident and provide adequate security to Manjit Singh till he is in that country to finalize the arrangements of ensuing century's celebrations. |
