PDP leader in Srinagar for 'Bollywood', visits Raj Bhawan
9/11/2018 10:58:05 PM
Early Times Report
srinagar, Sept 11: A senior politician from the Peoples Democratic Party, who had been away from Kashmir since the PDP led government was ousted in June this year has returned from abroad and recently visited Raj Bhawan to call on the Governor SP Malik.
Sources said though the impression was given that politician is back to homeland with the intention to contribute in strengthening of the political party led by his sister, he has "actually come here for assignment of Bollywood."
Sources said shooting of a Bollywood movie is underway in Kashmir and he was has come to attend the same as the politician happens to be a cinematographer by profession and is close to the film director.
Officials it was the same politician who as then minister had facilitated shooting of the "controversial movie in Kashmir."
"The script of the movie is against the interests of the state of Jammu and Kashmir but he(politician ) put government facilities at the disposal of the crew only due to his personal relation with the filmmaker. And it is the same relation which again brought him to Kashmir," said a source in Tourism department.
Sources said the PDP leader has told the film crew presently shooting in Kashmir that they need not worry about facilities as and when needed by the government as he would "take care of all such needs."
Sources said the cinematographer had to "settle some professional deal" with the film maker and it was because of it that he is in Kashmir.
Sources said the PDP leader plans to sit back in Kashmir till the shooting, presently underway is completed.
Sources said the cinematographer had been abroad with a shooting assignment but he cut-short his trip when he got to know that the film crew from Bollywood is back to Kashmir for another round of shooting.
It is pertinent to mention here that the PDP leader had left for abroad, when his party back home was in trouble in the wake of collapse of the government in the state that time.
Soon after the BJP pulled out from the alliance, the PDP leader had left for abroad though that time his party was facing a major rebellion from within.
Despite repeated attempts the PDP leader in question couldn't be contacted for comments.
