Student Council elected in KC College of Education

jammu, Sept 15: Election of Student Council was held in KC College of Education for students of B.Ed. Sem - I. The election was held simultaneously in section "A" and section "B".
The different posts for which the students contested included class representative, cultural secretary, academic secretary, sports secretary and NSS Secretary. The election was held by casting the votes in favour of the different aspirants. Lot of students put forward their candidature for the different posts. All the candidates put forth their view point before the students and sought their support and assured them that they will work for the betterment of the students if elected. In section "A" Sahil Tickoo and Shivani Sharma were elected as class representative, Saloni Malhotra as cultural Secretary, Mamta Manhas as sports secretary, Priya wadhu as academic secretary and Gourav Choudhary as NSS Secretary. In section "B" Varsha Belove and Sunidhi Koul were elected as class representative, Shilpa as cultural secretary, Megha as academic secretary, Sonali as sports secretary and Vandana as NSS Secretary. The process of election was facilitated by senior lecturers Puja Sharma and Ravi Hangloo in section "A" and Priya Gupta and Deepshikha Gupta in section "B". Later on a meeting of all the elected students and staff members was convened by Principal Dr. Sanjay Tickoo in his chamber where the newly elected students were introduced to the Principal, Principal Dr. Sanjay Tickoo congratulated the winners and apprised them about their role in making a bridge between students and the staff. Further Principal of the college assured the elected student council their full cooperation in making the class run smoothly. At the end of the meeting all the participants had a cup of tea as a token of Good will gesture.
