Early Times Report

JAMMU, Sept 15: All J&K PHE ITI Trained, CP Workers and Land Donors Association launched Jail Bharo Andolan
The protest was led by Tanveer Hussam (President All J&K PHE ITI Trained, CP Workers and Land Donors Association). Hundreds of daily wagers including Deepak Gupta (V.President), Subhash Rakwal (Gen Secy), Bhanu Partap, Sanjeev Akur and others participated in the "Jail Bharo Andolan". The protesters were briefly detained by the police.
Addressing gathering, Tanveer Hussain State President said that it is very shameful the daily wagers are on roads for wages of workers since last one week but none of the administrator from the department has shown his concern for our genuine issues. He said government failed to keep their promise of releasing salary on EID and Raksha Bandan. He said that they have given so many ultimatums to government but nothing has been done for them. He said that everyone need wages to do work, we and our families are starving but department has no seriousness towards our issues.
He also said that government should immediately release all the pending wages of the daily wagers without any delay. He said that during announcement of SRO it was assured that proper wages head will be formed arid daily wagers will get regular salaries without any delay but it was just eye wash of government and we are suffering a lot. He demanded government should keep their promise and should release all salaries and announce clearly that there will be no compromise by association on pending salaries and their strike will continue until all pending wages are released.
They warned the administration that if soon administration failed to address their demands their protest will turn nore aggressive. Intensifying the agitation Tanveer announced that association will launch similar Jail Bharo andolan in Udhampur on 17th in Rajouri on 19th and in Poonch on 20th of September.
Others who were detained during "Jail Bharo Andolan" were Vijay Kumar, Hoshiar Singh, Surinder, Rajesh harma, Dhani Ram, Pardeep Sharma, Zulfikar Ahmed, Sohan Choudhary, Deepak Sharma, Asrar Ahmed and others.
