GGZSMD college lefts overall championship of inter collegiate Fencing

Reasi, Sept 15: Reasi September 15: Govt. General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College, Reasi lifted overall championship of Inter- Collegiate Fencing ( Men & Women) Championship 2018-19 of the University of Jammu hosted by the same College at its Indoor Hall.
The valedictory function of the Championship was held today with a colourful and impressive cultural function, attended by large number of guests from the Government institutions and the civil society.
Ajay Nanda , Member of Legislative Assembly, Reasi and former Minister, J & K Govt. was the Chief Guest of the Valedictory Function.
While addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest said that promotion of sports at the grass root level is priority and advised the players to actively participate in Sports activities for being fit.
Earlier Dr. SP Sarswat, Principal of the GGZSM Degree College, Reasi presented formal welcome address.
On the occasion, colourful cultural items including dance by students of the Aim Dance Academy, poem by Prof. Chander Mohan and dance items by students of the College, namely Sumit Bali, Sonia and Pallavi Rajput were also presented.
Prof. Ajay Kumar, Assistant Professor and national fencer managed the event.
Ms. Suman Bala conducted the proceedings of the programme whereas, Dr. Prem Singh presented formal vote of thanks.
Other present on the occasion were Sd. PD Singh from the University of Jammu ( I/C Inter- Collegiate Fencing Championship) ,Suman Lata, Rakesh Meenia, Sanjay Verma, Omar Abdullah, Jagdev Singh , Ajit Singh, ArunDev Singh, Staff and students of the College.
