Free medical-cum-certificate distribution camp held under PSGA

Rajouri, Sept 15: Under Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA-2011) a free 'medical-cum-certificate distribution' camp was organised in a remote village Chakli Jamola today under the supervision of Dr Iqbal Malik, BMO, Kandi.
"The aim behind holding such camps in remote areas under PSGA was to provide modern medical facilities at the door steps of the poor people who can't afford fare or treatment in the towns / cities" said Dr Iqbal Malik.
A team of Doctors including Dr Ghulam Qader, Dental Surgeon, Dr Asif Iqbal; Dr Farooq Tantry , Dr Jabeen Qummar all Medical Officers, Dr Mohd Ayoub lone, Community Health Officer; Mohd Ajaz, Mohd Masood, Kuldeep Sing all senior Pharmacists ; Sahil Jaspal, Pharmacist, Vadana Kumari FMPHW, Deepak Tavar dealing assistant; Mohd Said , BHW; Raspal Singh , nursing orderly (NO), Mohd Sharief, BHWN, Shoket Ali Lab. Tech.and others rendered their services.
"In the camp, a total 195 old age certificates for pension and other allied beneficial purposes, 63 labour certificate for fitness, 8 illness certificates, 15 widow pension certificate, 109 children vaccinated , 4 disability certificate, were issue on the spot whereas in the medical camp" said BMO. He added, the doctors examined and treated more than 283 patients having different ailments and provided free medicine and laboratory tests.
BMO Kandi delivered a lecture on Swachhta Hi Sewa campaign and awareness on Measles-Rubella campaign and urged people not to believe in rumours and fake news circulating on social media. "MR vaccines are WHO certified and widely used in other parts of the world. Measles and Rubella, two viral diseases with common symptoms, are major causes of morbidity and mortality in children" said BMO.
