| Manju Kour appointed as president of Nationalist Mahila Congress | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 21: Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh NCP chief J&K state appointed Manju Kour educated and known social activist ,President Nationalist Mahila Congress J&K state women cell of NCP after the consultation with National High command and recommendation of state working committee.
He also announced Manju Kour to contest forthcoming municipal elections from ward no 37 (reserved for women) and said that more women will be given representation. He said that successive state Govt has been very unfair to give representation to women in contesting the elections in Assembly and police.
He demanded 50% reservation for women and more police stations to be manned by women in Jammu as well as Srinagar town. State NCP will fight for this section of the society who has been deprived of their share in employment and providing seats in professional colleges and in administration also. |
