| Police recovers 3 kg charas | | |

Ramban, Sept 27: In order to curb the drug menace from the society, anti-drug campaign is being carried out by District Police Ramban under the close supervision of SSP Ramban-Anita Sharma and in continuation to the campaign, team of Banihal police station arrested a drug peddler and recovered 3 kg charas from his possession.
Police spokesman said that in routine manner a naka was established at 1430 hrs. at Gund Tethar NHW by Inspector Aejaz Wani-SHO Banihal under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Sajad Sarwar and Addl. SP Sanjay Parihar.
"During checking one person carrying bag was noticed on suspicion basis who was trying to dodge the police party but ultimately apprehended by the Police", said spokesman adding that during search 03 kg Charas was recovered from his possession and later was arrested.
Police identified the arrested accused as Khursheed Ahmed of Acchabal Anatnag.
In this connection a case under FIR No. 167/2018 under relevant sections of law has been registered against the said accused person at Banihal police station. |
