Early Times Report

JAMMU, Oct 28: The efforts of senior BJP senior leader and National General Secretary, in charge J&K Ram Madhav, who has been lobbying in New Delhi for formation of Sajjad Lone led coalition government in the State after Governor administration unearthed huge scam in appointments during the previous BJP-PDP government.
Sources said Madhav had taken up the issue with senior party leaders including party national president Amit Shah and national general Secretary (Org) Ram Lal also and intimated them about the political developments in the State.
However his efforts received a serious jolt after the surfacing of appointment scam in which previous PDP -BJP Government was involved knee deep.
Sources said Madhav during his recent visit to Srinagar to have a meeting with newly elected corporators and councilors of the party had dropped a hint that formation of coalition in the State is on cards.
Though Madhav did not divulge party's strategy in this regard but he dropped a hint that former Deputy C M Kavinder Gupta who too was present in the meeting will not be called ex Deputy CM for more time now.
Some BJP leaders inside the meeting confirmed this to Early Times also that Madhav gave a hint that ground is being smoothened for formation if next coalition in the State. They said during his address to corporation and councilors meeting in Srinagar he said that Kavinder Gupta will no more be called former Deputy CM and this clearly indicates that BJP is in a mood to form the next Government in the State.
Sources said some BJP leaders including Madhav are in close contact with Sajjad Lone who is confident of getting the support of required number of MLAs to form the Government and prove majority on the floor of the House.
