Jammu beat Samba in inter Divisional U 19 Cricket Tournament

Kishtwar, Oct 31: The three days inter divisional cricket tournament of U/19 Boys and girls concluded today at District sports stadium Doda in which the Girls of Jammu District outplayed District Samba and lifted the title which was organised by Department of Youth Service and Sports at Doda Sports Stadium.
As per the details available with Early Times, electing to bat first after winning the toss, Samba were bundled out at 34 in the 11th over after classic bowling of Madhu and Kajal who picked up 3 & 2 wickets respectively ripped through the batting top order of the Samba team while three Batswomen were run out.
While chasing the 35 run target, Batswomen of Jammu District chased the target in 4th over without losing any wicket. Lalita any Nancy remain not out on 20 and 7 respectively.
In Boys category, Boys of Jammu District were declared winner's as the other finalist team Doda missed the final due to the BOSE paper of class 12th.
On this occasion, Anshul Garg (IAS) DC Doda was the chief guest who in his speech appreciated the arrangements made by DYSSO Doda. He also awarded shields among the winners and runner up's and merit certificates to all the participating players.
Ashok Kotwal organising secretary DYSSO Doda thanked DC Doda and other officials for encouraging the students.
Beside locals, the concluding ceremony also attended by officials of the various department.
