Investiture ceremony for newly appointed students' council held at jp world school

Jammu, Oct 31: JP World School held the investiture ceremony for the newly appointed students' council on Wednesday in the school premises.
The students of the prefectorial body from all the four houses viz Chenab House, Jhelum House, Ravi House and Tawi House were conferred with badges and sashes amidst the ambiance filled with zeal and zest.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Colonel T. Satish Babu from J&K Light Infantary Regiment. The proceedings of the event began with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest and the Principal of the School, J.S Hundal. In a solemn ceremony, the chief guest pinned up the badges and blessed the members of the council. It was followed by an oath by the prefectorial body to maintain fairness and sincerity in delivering the duties towards the institution. The students pledged to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities.
From the senior wing, Tamanna Gupta & Amandeep Singh were appointed as the Head Girl and Head Boy , whereas Hidayat, Sameer Shah & Ramanjeet Kour were appointed as the Sports Captain, Discipline Incharge, and cultural Incharge of the school respectively.
The House Captains from the Chenab House were Amarjeet Singh and Archie Batra, whereas Harkirat Singh was the Sports Incharge. From the Jhelum House, the House Captains were Zaheer and Pushvinder, whereas, Jaffer was the Sports Incharge. The House Captains from the Ravi house were Trishant & Sumbul, whereas the Sports Captain was Priyanshu. From the Tawi House, the House Captains were Wasif and Adishree, whereas, the Sports Captain was Haider Ali.
From the junior wing, Syed Aitsham & Syed Aliza were appointed as the Head Boy & Head Girl respectively. Rishika Shaw was appointed as the Discipline Incharge, whereas, the House Captains from the Chenab House, Jhelum House, Ravi House and Tawi House were Japjot Singh, Shezan, Arhaan Mahajan and Ansab respectively.
Earlier, the selection of these students was done in a democratic way, through a well conducted election. The election was held not only to elect these members, but also to acquaint the school children with the election process, so that their faith in the democracy is strengthened.
The chief guest congratulated all the students of the Students' council and admonished them to be sincere towards discharging their duties. He also inspired them to struggle hard and achieve greater heights in life. The Principal of the School also showered his words of wisdom on the students and inspired them to work hard and with sincerity.
The event was compered by Laraib and Sadia and concluded with the singing of the national anthem.
