Early Times Report
Poonch, Oct 31: Believe it or not, the officials of all higher and lower ranks have been campaigning for contestants for ensuing Panchayat elections in this border district , sources said here today.
They added that the government officials have been campaigning for the upcoming Panchayat polls to be held in all over state in the next month. The officials of larger ranks as well as lower ranks have been asking the people of the district to cast their vote in favor of such and such candidate and lure them of maximum benefits he added.
They said that the officials being locals will benefit the contesting candidates to a large extent yet the officials too may get some suitable benefits in exchange once they are elected , they presumed.
Meanwhile a social activist Mushtaq Ahmed has lambasted the said Government employees for their undue favour and termed it against the model code of conduct as per guidelines laid by the Election commission. He has urged DDC Rahul yadav to take serious note on the activities of Government employees who were indulged in campaigning for Panchayat Polls contestants in all the subdivision of district including Poonch , Mandi ,Mendhar and Surankote which are to be held on November 17, 2018 in nine phases. These officials should be shifted transferred with an immediate effect , Mushtaq added.
