| Promotions in High Court staff | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 31: Consequent upon the recommendations of the Committee for High Court Staff and the approval accorded by the Chief Justice, Registrar General Sanjay Dhar issued order of promotion of Ajay Kumar Sharma, Assistant Registrar-I as Deputy Registrar temporarily against the vacancy that has fallen vacant owing to the demise of Late Kuldeep Singh. The representation of Janam Raj, Assistant Registrar-I for promotion to the post of Deputy Registrar under Scheduled Caste Category was rejected.
According to the order, Shabir Ahmad Baqal, Assistant Registrar-II, is temporarily promoted as Assistant Registrar-I against the vacancy caused due to the promotion of Ajay Kumar as Deputy Registrar. Promotion of Ram Paul Section Officer (OPG) is regularised and further the official is temporarily promoted as Assistant Registrar-II against the vacancy caused due to the promotion of Shabir Ahmad Baqal as Assistant Registrar-I. Consequent upon the acceptance of his representation, Subash Chander, Section Officer, is temporarily promoted as Assistant Registrar-II under Scheduled Caste Category against the post that has fallen vacant due to the superannuation of Jamila Zahid, Assistant Registrar-II. Sham LaL, Head Assistant, consequent upon his exoneration from the charges, is promoted temporarily as Section Officer, notionally w.e.f. the date, his immediate Junior was promoted to the post of Section Officer and monetarily w.e.f. the date of issuance of this promotion order. Further, he is placed below Kuldeep Singh and above Ajmer Singh in the seniority list of the Section Officers. In compliance with the Judgment dated 30.08.2018 passed in SWP No. 282/2018 titled : Anita Kumari Vs High Court of J&K, Anita Kumari, Head Assistant is temporarily promoted as Section Officer notionally with effect from the date her immediate junior was promoted to the post of Section Officer and monetarily w.e.f. the date of issuance of this order. Further, her seniority shall stand restored below Ajmer Singh and above Showkat Hussain Qadiri in the seniority list of Section Officers.
Bahadur Singh, Court Officer is temporarily placed in the higher grade of Section Officers against an available post. Brij Lai, Head Assistant is temporarily promoted as Court Officer against the vacancy caused due to the placement of Bahadur Singh in the higher grade of Section Officers. However, his promotion is subject to the validity of his graduation certificate and in case his graduation certificate is found to be invalid/fake, he shall stand reverted to the post of Head Assistant. |
