| ZEO Thanamandi withholds salary of 46 govt schools staff | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Oct 31: In a significant development Zonal Education Officer, Thanamandi in Rajouri district has withheld salary of 46 government schools, associated with Mid Day Meal (MDM), for not reporting proper/correct data on MDM-ARMS.
School Education Department J&K has adopted MDM-ARMS (automated reporting & management system) portal, being developed by the Himachal Pradesh government, for real time monitoring/management of the MDM scheme and the data collected will be on the National Portal on daily basis.
In this connection ZEO, Thanamandi had sought explanation from the concerned to know why time and again the concerned have failed to submit reports related to MDM scheme.
Pertinent to mention that as per ZEO order the information regarding MDM-ARMS was conveyed to all the heads/MDM concerned staff of the schools well in time(immediately after its implementation) .
During monitoring of MDM-ARMS portal it was found that the concerned officials had not uploaded the proper/correct data.
On 4th October, ZEO Thanamandi vide his office explanation NO. ZEO/TMD/2018/1424 has sought explanations from the concerned staff of the schools.
"But none of the schools in question and many other schools explained their positions for their negligence related to MDM-ARMS reporting" said ZEO.
Vide his office another explanation notice dated 27/10/2018 (No.1597), ZEO once again has directed them to upload their correct/proper details on MDM-ARMS portal for the smooth functioning of the scheme.
With this explanation notice ZEO has also stopped the salaries of the concerned staff of 46 schools and has also brought the matter into the notice of Chief Education Officer. |
