India's protest against killing of its three soldiers on the LoC by infiltrators
11/1/2018 8:11:56 PM
India has lodged a protest against Pakistan for the deliberate attempt at crossing the LoC in Rajouri and then killing three Indian soldiers. India also conveyed its displeasure over the way Pakistan Prime Minister, Imran Khan, interfered in the internal matters of India by first demanding resolution of the Kashmir issue through bilateral talks and then describing the killing of militants and six civilians in Kulgam area as the most barbaric act of India's act of repression. India summoned a senior official of the Pakistan High Commission here and lodged a strong protest over the loss of lives of three of its soldiers during an infiltration bid by Pakistani terrorists in the Sunderbani sector of Jammu and Kashmir two days ago.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), in a statement, said it also condemned in the strongest terms such a provocative action by Pakistan, which revealed the neighbouring country's complicity in aiding and abetting terrorism and exposed the hollowness of its claims of promoting a constructive engagement with India and desire for peace. The Pakistan High Commission official was summoned to the MEA and a demarche was made, lodging a strong protest over the loss of lives of Indian soldiers during the cross-border infiltration bid by Pakistani terrorists in the Sunderbani sector on October 21, the statement said. The two Pakistani armed intruders had been killed by the Indian security forces during the ensuing firefight and the Government of Pakistan should take custody of the dead bodies of its nationals.
Two heavily-armed Pakistani intruders and three Indian soldiers were killed in a gunfight on Sunday after the Army foiled the infiltration bid along the LoC in the Sunderbani sector. Pakistan continues to aid and abet ingress of terrorists and on the other hand has been seeking settlement of the various through talks. The export of terror to Jammu and Kashmir is the sole anger on the part of India which continues to shut the doors for dialogue. In fact for the last six months India has been conveying to Pakistan that New Delhi was ready to open the channels of talks provided Pakistan stopped export of terror to Jammu and Kashmir. Islamabad has not responded and that is the reason for India to shut the doors of talks.
