200 adjusted in Corporation without following recruitment process
Will Governor probe illegal appointments in SICOP?

Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 1: After cancelling and initiating a probe in much controversial Group Medical Insurance Policy of government employees by the Governor Satay Pal Malik, the people expect a probe into illegal appointments in Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited (SICOP) where more than 200 blue eyed have been adjusted since 2015.
Sources informed Early Times that just after assuming power by PDP-BJP coalition government led by Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had put blanket ban on re-engagement of any employee in any government departments.
As per the government Order No: 384-GAD of 2015, dated 17/03/2015 read as "All the re-employment orders issued by various Government Departments are revoked with immediate effect. All the reengagements/arrangements made by the different Departments/ Public Sector Undertakings/Boards/Autonomous Bodies under any scheme against sanctioned posts without any selection procedure, even on Contractual basis, shall cease to exist with immediate effect".
But showing thumb to the order, the successive Industrial Ministers who took the charge of department concerned, had adjusted spree of blue eyed in the cash starved corporation (SICOP), that too without following any due recruitment rules.
Sources further said that the managing director of the corporation has left no stone unturned to oblige politicians by distributing spree of order to the kith and kins of the politicians. "He recently adjusted a MLC's nephew at the post of Junior Executive Engineer in Kathua that too without any notification and against the set procedure of recruitment", alleged sources.
Another sources said that after the sacking of one of the Industrial Minister from PDP- BJP government, the new minister also adjusted his two relative in the corporation and this practices has been running blatantly from the time of NC-Congress led government and nobody in the government is daring to curb the ongoing practices.
"Now the question arises, if government has initiated inquiry against SIDCO officials for illegal appointment in the Corporation, then why not against SICOP' officials who are already under scanner for illegal practices" asked sources while wishing anonymity.
