Senior Citizens Welfare Forum holds debate competition

Katra, Nov 1: A debate-Topic "Care for the Parents, Elderly people is a part of our Tradition and Culture, left us care for the elders" organized at Government High School Dhanori (Katra).
The other vicinity Schools which participate include High School Nomain, Government Middle School Nangal, Academy Amba Kids Panthal and Atog Academy Dhanori. Two students from each School in the ratio 50:50 (Boys & Girls) Total participator 11 were Isha Jamwal Government Middle School Nangal got Ist Position, Komal Jamwal Government high School Dhanori 2nd position and Sharuti Kumari Amba Kid AcademyPanthal 3rd position. These winners were awarded cash prize Rs 500/-, Rs 400/- & Rs 300/- respectively, certificates and mementoes. Rest 8 participants were also given the consolation prizes.
There was usual Birth Day celebration of members of Senior Citizens Welfare Forum Katra on evey 30th of Month, so these were the names whose Birthday falls in the M/O October Sh. Col. Pushap Singh, Babu Ram Sharma, Mohan Lal, Chuni Lal (S.O), Chanay Ram (Retd. Z.E.O), Mohan Singh (Retd. Z.E.O), Sobha Ram.
This time Birthdays celebrated by Gayatri Mantras recited by Pt. Tarseem Nagar and Party Forum Gayatri Parivar from Jammu. This was followed by community (Dogra) Laugar for all which was arranged/hosted by Sobha Ram native of this village and member of Forum.
