JAMMU, Nov 1: Welfare Society Guru Nanak Nagar Jammu congratulated the newly elected corporators upon their taking oath of office and wished them success in terms of meeting the expectations of their wards.
It was pointed out that although the people of Jammu aspires of having Smart City status for Jammu but in terms of ground realities we are far away in terms of development, we still face the basic problems of sanitation, Brocken or chocked or overflowing drains, pitted roads and streets, absence of street lights in many areas, stray animals especially dogs and improper management of garbage collection and disposal and others. The Society urged that all these matters need proper redressal and hopes that the new Corporators shall come up to the expectations of the people of their wards by proper utilization of funds at their disposal and work in full spirits to make Jammu a Great Jammu deserving status of a smart city.
