PC accuses NC's Aga of forging date of birth
11/25/2018 11:48:08 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Nov 25: The war of words between the Peoples Conference and the National Conference only heated up further on Sunday as the PC accused the senior NC leader and former minister Aga Ruhullah of having forged his date of birth and that the government should probe the case.
A day after Aga accused the PC leaders of being "poster boys of RSS", the party said: "The NC statement issued by Aga Ruhullah betrays the absolute disconnect, shamelessness and lack of integrity that the party has become a political super specialist in."
The PC spokesman said: "Aga Ruhullah is the last person who should talk of scams and scandals lest somebody approaches the courts to establish how he contested elections after his date of birth certificate was forged with the patronage of the then Education Minister and the Chief Minister."
The PC leaders said "It is public knowledge - as is testified by his classmates in Biscoe School - that Aga Ruhullah's date of birth credential are forged and that his first election - and very election there on - is ultra vires and illegitimate." "The people also know how his only 'contribution' as a Minister was setting up of a hatchery which failed despite him blackmailing the concerned business enterprise for a quid-pro-quo arrangement. We all know - including Aga Ruhullah himself - that his own colleagues exposed him - leading to his prompt and unceremonious ouster from the council of Ministers," the PC said.
When contacted, the PC spokesman told Early Times that it was a known fact in Kashmir that Aga has forged his date of birth in the school records. "If anyone doubts it, let the government order a high level probe and things will become clear," the spokesman said.
Sources in NC said the party "high command" had asked Ruhulla to defend NC's first family.
The controversy had erupted a few days back when at a presser, senior PC leader Imran Ansari openly accused Abdullahs of minting fortunes by looting the state. "Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah was a simple teacher. From where did his family mint crores of rupees?"
But despite serious allegations, Omar Abdullah has been maintaining silence
