| BJP's Marwah win in Panchayat polls betrayal with people: Magrey | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Dec 4: The social and political activist from Marwah and Warwan Ghulam Rasool Magrey today said the self acclaimed win of BJP in Marwah block of Kishtwar District is nothing, but a betrayal with the people of Marwah and Warwan who are on protest since long over the proposed construction of Budsar Power Project that will submerged the majority of the populated areas as a result of which the whole population of Marwah will get displaced.
Reacting to recently held BJP show at Nawapachi Marwah in which BJP claimed that they won six Sarpanchs from the area, National conference Vice President Ghulam Rasool Magrey said that NC leadership of the area held a meeting with the local people who had unanimously decided to boycott the Panchayat elections to oppose the construction of Budsar dam which was also unanimously supported by the other political parties including BJP and Congress.
He said that few evil elements belonging to BJP filed their nomination papers on the last date of the nomination papers at midnight at a selectively established office with the help of DC Kishtwar about which the rest of the people had no idea.
He alleged that the DC Kishtwar played truant with the people of Marwah as his allegiance with the BJP is not a secret thing to anyone adding that the DC Kishtwar with his ulterior designs is hell bent on submerging the people of Marwah in dam water since the local people opposes him as a result of which DC Kishtwar is showing enmity towards them with the motive to teach the people of Marwah a lesson since they refuse to toe his line. |
