Jammu, Dec 4: Janipur police arrested two thieves who were involved in damaging ATM kiosk at Janipur in a futile attempt to loot cash from the machine.
Police spokesman said that on the intervening night of 30th of Nov. And 1st Dec. -2018 some unknown persons entered in to SBI ATM at Janipur and attempted to steal cash and had damaged the ATM kiosk.
Pursuant to this event and complaint submitted by Branch Manager SBI Bank Branch Janipur, Jammu a case under FIR No. 108/2018 under sections 457, 380, 511 and 427 of RPC was registered at Police Station Janipur, Jammu.
The police immediately swung into action and coordinated efforts to trace the accused were launched by Police Station Janipur and Police post Sarwal Jammu. After hectic efforts, the accused persons were identified and arrested within 48 hours, namely Ayush Sharma of Main Stop Janipur, and Rishav Gupta of Ward no. 08 Old Rehari Jammu.
The search for and eventual arrest of the accused was undertaken jointly by SHO Police Station Janipur Inspector Rajpal Singh and incharge police post Sarwal SI Purab Singh under the close supervision of Amritpal Singh SP City North Jammu, Sheema Nabi Qasba SDPO City West Jammu, and the overall Guidance of incharge SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta. |
