BSS organises Measles-Rubella vaccinations camp

NAGROTA, Dec 4: Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Jammu organised the Measles-Rubella vaccination camp for the school children and others of local area of Panj Grain, Kumara, Sher-i-Kalan and Nagrota at Ashram premises.
The camp was held under the guidance of specialist doctors from New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC), Nagrota, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, local Anganwari workers and Female Multipurpose Health Workers (FMPHW).
The camp was organised at the School Swami Pranavananda Vidya Mandir, a total of 96 children from Classes I to V and from adjoining local areas benefitted from the camp. The students and other children were vaccinated for rubella, underwent a haemoglobin check, and availed of free medicines.
Dr Neena and her eight members team of NTPHC briefed the parents about the importance of rubella vaccination, related diseases and their prevention. Only after getting their parent's consent, the children would be vaccinated, said Ms Nisha Sambyal, Principal of the School.
The administrative support for the camp was provided by Bharat Sevashram Sangha under the able guidance of Swami Satya Mitra Nandaji Maharaj, Swami Shreyashanandaji Maharaj, Swami Archanandaji Maharaj and Sevak Pranayji Maharaj.
Anganwari workers Veena and Anita from Panjgrain, Anuradha from Kumara and Rajani from Sher-i-Kalan village and Suman and Asha from FMPHW and youth of BSS played an important role to make the camp a grand success.
Present at the event were Retd Dr PS Slathia who cheks up local patients daily free of cost at ashram premises also checked up the parents and children
