BJP high-command reprimands Raina, Koul for disrespecting Chhewang
12/10/2018 10:56:19 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 10: BJP high-command has taken state president Ravinder Raina and state general secretary Ashok Koul to task for disrespecting veteran leader of Ladakh and party MP Thupstan Chhewng who had quitted the party last month.
Credibe sources said that high command is worried about style of function of Raina and Koul, who have humiliating senior leaders to sideline them to project sychophants who will work as their 'Yes Men'.
Both Raina and Koul, who were at Delhi two days back, were faced anger of high command for humiliating senior leaders.
Sources said that BJP high command has taken very serious note of political developments in Ladakh, especially after resignation of Thupstan Chhewang so state leadership has been asked to take any possible step to placate Chhewang.
Credible sources said that Raina-Koul dua had humiliated Chhewang as per of the game plan to force him to leave the party. Both the leaders wanted only their Yes Men in the party.
BJP's central leadership has directed state unit to mollify Chhewang because it was he who had created history by first time winning Lok Sabha seat for the Saffron Party from Ladakh region.
"Resignation of Chhewang from the primary membership of the party would be proved disastrous for BJP in Ladakh region especially in Lok Sabha elections so central leadership has reprimanded state unit for taking the developmental so casually", sources said.
Humiliation of BJP in the just concluded urban local bodies (ULBs) elections in Ladakh region has added woes because party had failed to even open its account. Notable BJP had comfortable won Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh elections last year but in the ULB elections in the month of October BJP failed to win even a single seat
Thupstan Chhewang -the party's lone Lok Sabha member and its tallest leader from Ladakh, had resigned from both the primary membership of the saffron party and as Member of Parliament on November 14. Chhewang had written a hard-hitting letter in which he charged Saffron Party leadership with betraying people of Ladakh.
