Nowshera, Dec 14: Regional Outreach Bureau Ministry Of Information & Broadcasting Govt of India, FOB Rajouri organized an awareness programme on the theme Systematic Voters' Education & Electoral Participation (SVEEP) at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Nowshera.
The camp was attended by Anil Kumar Gujral, Principle GGHSS Nowshera, Sardar Gurdyal Singh Vice Principle GGHSS, Rakesh Chaudhary PEM GGHSS & Vinod Sharma Social worker (Media) Nowshera.
The main aim of the programme was developing and sustaining the electoral culture among future and new voters aimed at enhanced electoral participation that is to say registration and exercise of franchise.
The speakers said that it is the duty of every citizen of India is to participate in election process through casting their vote on the polling day. We should all come forward to aware the target audience of what, how, when & where of the electoral process i.e registration and voting in elections. The youth should understand the value of their vote and the sanctity of 'secrecy of vote'. A cultural programme, a quiz contest, seminar and a skit were the main attractions. Students were awarded first second and third prizes for their team participation in quiz. The registered troupe of ROB presented theme based and folk items to entertain the audience. |
