Early Times Report
Anantnag, Dec 14: District Bar Association Anantnag today leveled serious allegations of corruption of against Anantnag District Administration and even called DC Anantnag 'inefficient and errant.
Briefing media, President Bar Association Anantnag Fayaz Ahmad Sodagar claimed that Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Mohd Younis Malik has failed to maintain the work culture standards both in terms of quality and quantity.
He called DC Anantnag errant and alleged that the officer has developed an arrogant behavior to hide his failures and incompetence. "In last 2 and half years, DC Anantnag hasn't held court once. He and his sub-ordinates staff always humiliate the lawyers whenever they approach them," Sodagar alleged. Bar President said that Mini-secretariat of Anantnag has also become hub of corruption and the DC Anantnag has failed to control it. "Clerical and ministerial staff deployed in Anantnag DC office hasn't been transferred from last over 7 years and they are indulging in corruption. Even those families who had lost their dears in tragic incident had to bribe these employees for getting relief money," he added.
Demanding immediate transfer of DC Anantnag, Sodagar urged higher-ups of the state administration to initiate an enquiry against the conduct of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag. "Last year all roads in Anantnag were macadamized by R&B department and then only after seven months another department came and started digging roads by laying sewage pipelines. It shouldn't have been happened but it happened as the authorities had to accommodate a blue-eyed person," he alleged.
