JAMMU, Dec 14: The two-day 5th Annual National Conference in Mathematics on the topic "Recent Developments in Algebra and Analysis" organized by the Department of Mathematics, G.G.M. Science College, Jammu in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology J&K Govt., concluded with a Valedictory Function.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Dr. Satinder Singh, Principal, G.G.M. Science College, Jammu. Prof. S.D. Sharma from the Department of Mathematics, Central University of Jammu and Prof. J.K. Prajapat, Head, Department of Mathematics, Central University of Rajasthan were the Guests of Honour.
Dr. Narinder Sharma, from the Department of Mathematics, G.G.M. Science College, presented a detailed report on the proceedings of the conference. The Chief Guest and the Guests of honour were presented mementos on the occasion as a token of gratitude and respect.
Prof. J. K. Prajapat addressed the gathering and congratulated the organizers of the conference on its successful completion. He acknowledged the hard work that must have gone into its preparation. The gathering was then addressed by Prof. S.D. Sharma who laid emphasis on the significance of quality research and encouraged the young mathematicians to pursue research in diverse fields.
Dr. Satinder Singh, Principal of the college and Chief patron of the conference motivated the participants with his words and entreated them to continue to participate in such conferences and seminars for their growth as teachers and researchers. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks present by Dr. Sunil Gupta, HoD Mathematics, G.G.M. Science College, Jammu.
