Senior BJP leader to quit party

BARAMULLA, Dec 18: In yet another setback to PDP, a two times MLA of the party from north Kashmir's Baramulla district, is likely to cross the fence. Meanwhile a senior BJP leader is also likely to say goodbye to the party.
Sources while talking to Early Times said that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lost its core members from important constituencies in north Kashmir like Shia leader and former MLA Pattan, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari, Mohammad Abbas Wani former MLA Gulmarag, senior leader and former IGP Crime, Raja Aijaz Ali Khan from Uri Constituency and now the two time MLA and his Zonal President Dilshad Ahmad has also reportedly resigned from the party along with his workers, said sources.
Meanwhile, NC has admitted that PDP former minister Syed Basharat Bukhari was coming to party fold and was likely to join the Party tomorrow.
"Many other PDP leaders with good reputation and Public support were in consultation with the grand old party of the state, sources privy to the development said.
Sources while quoting the NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar said the former Law minster was likely to join the party on Wednesday. Sagar added that the former MLA from Sangrama Constituency was eager to join National Conference and the party would welcome him whole heartedly.
Pertinently few days back, NC leader from Sangrama Constituency, Khawaja Mohammad Yaqoob was called by the former Chief Minister and vice president of National Conference at his Srinagar office. Both the leaders discussed some political issues pertaining to the present political scenario in the Sangrama belt of north Kashmir's Baramulla district.
Meanwhile ET has also learnt from sources that, a senior leader and National Executive member BJP from Baramulla, Mohammad Anwar Khan has also decided to quit his party.
"Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to join National Conference, said reliable sources.
They said that due to growing alienation and dissent in the party, he has decided to divorce BJP and would join National conference.
