PDP shuns Mufti's visionary-secular agenda; pursuing communal politics
12/18/2018 11:31:40 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 18: The present leadership of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has apparently abandoned secular agenda of its founder late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and party is shamelessly following divisive and communal agenda to befool innocent people of Kashmir Valley in the name of religion. Instead of taking leaders of all regions and sub-regions together, PDP leadership has singled out four districts namely Jammu, Samba, Kathua and Udhampur from day-today activities of the party and it appears that party leadership has no faith on peoples and leaders of these four districts.
The way party leadership had ignored leaders of these four districts during a meeting which was held on December 11 there is feeling among leaders and workers of these four districts that party leadership has now decided to invest only on particular regions and particular sections of the society.
Credible sources said that after demise of statesman Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who was secular from core of his heart, leadership with communal and parochial mindset has completely hijacked the party and secular and progressive agenda of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has been replaced with communal and divisive agenda to pursue politics of 'competitive communalism and separatism' with arch rival NC.
Credible sources said that most of the leaders of Jammu, who had worked with late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, are feeling suffocated because 'Think Tank' is comprised of leaders of 'communal and divisive' mindset. "The incumbent PDP leadership is trying its best to create communal divide in Jammu region to reap political benefits in Kashmir Valley", sources said and noted that PDP's Think Tank is of the view that communal politics is best way to befool innocent Kashmir people, who wore maximum brunt of corrupt practices of former PDP ministers.
