Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 24: Captain Parveez Rasool scored a brilliant century and is still on the crease as team Jammu and Kashmir ended the day three with 272 for 7 against team Odisha at Gandhi Memorial Science College Ground, Jammu. J&K team leads by 76 runs in second innings.
Though team Jammu and Kashmir is in trouble they definitely need a miracle from tail ender's on day four of the Elite C group Ranji match to survive and earn some points on the table.
Resuming the day with 27 runs for no loss, one thought that team Jammu and Kashmir is back to the batting track. But there is always a twist in the tail in the four day format, once a wicket falls it makes way for other batsman's to score two low.
Team Jammu and Kashmir lost their first wicket on the score of 60 runs in the form of Shubam Khajuria, followed by Ian Dev Singh on 67 runs. Opener Qamran and Owais Amin showed some resistance but with 33 run partnership.
Qamran continued his first innings batting luck but failed to score big. He managed to score 67 runs hitting eight boundaries. Team Jammu and Kashmir were four down for the score of 138 runs. Captain Parveez Rasool after failing to score in the earlier games somehow played aggressively and kept the score board ticking. Pathan on the other showed steady pace but failed to capitalize on scoring big.
After departure of Irfan Pathan, host managed to score 40 runs and ended the day on 247 runs with 7 wickets back to the hut. Parveez and Pathan had the longest partnership on the day of 69 runs. Out of the seven batsmen in the hut as usual three players yet again failed to score in double figures.
Parveez Rasool has to score big while some one down the order has to stand tall and provide helping hand to the captain. Failing in doing so will make Jammu and Kashmir team on the losing side. While the visitors are going to try every method to bundle out the host early to win the match and use the other day for rest.
