Theft case worked out, stolen mobiles, accessories worth about Rs 80,000 recovered

Udhampur, Dec 24: Udhampur Police today claimed to have worked out a theft case which was registered under the jurisdiction of Police Station Chenani and arrested six accused involved in the case.
Police spokesman said that based on a written complaint from Sunil Sharma of Sudhmahadev, Chenani of theft/burglary in a shop of Sudhmahadev under the jurisdiction of Chenani police station. Acting on the complaint, a special team headed by ASI Daljeet Singh, SGCt. Lal Singh, Sgct. Sushil Kumar, Sgct. Bansi Lal, Sgct. Zakir Hussain, Sgct. Anchal Kumar of Chenani police station and police post Sudhmahadev led by SI sanjeet Sharma-SHO Chenani assisted by SI Balram Sharma-incharge police post Sudhmahadev under the supervision of DySP Chanderjeet Singh-SDPO Chenani conducted raids in different suspected locations.
"During raids, some suspects were zeroed in by police and during the sustained interview of these suspects, one of them broke down and confessed the commission of the offence who was arrested on the spot", said spokesman adding that on his disclosure, his other five associates involved in the case were also arrested by the Police.
The identities of the accused have been established as Altaf Hussain, Mustak Ahmed Abdul Norani, Talib Hussain, Wahid Hussain and 6) Mohd Kabir all residents of Sudhamadev.
Police spokesman further said that 26 Mobiles phones alongwith the mobile accessories of worth Rs 80,000 of the complainant were recovered. With the arrest of these burglars, police succeeded in solving the said theft case.
In this connection, a case under FIR No. 117/18 under sections 457 and 380 of RPC stand registered at Chenani and further investigation of the case is going on.
