JAMMU, Dec 24: A deputation of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation today called on Director School Jammu and apprised her about the problems being faced by the teaching fraternity.
The main issues discussed with the Director School Education Jammu were related to salary of Masters/Teachers working under SSA/RMSA schemes.
They said that they had not paid their salary since August 2018 upto date and facing many hardships .They are not able to serve bread and butter to their children and to pay their School/College fees. They said that they are at the verge of starvation and under depression.
They also said that their DA arrears are also pending since 2015. They demanded release of salary of all the Master/teachers working under SSA/RMSA schemes alongwith release of all the DA/ 7th Pay commission arrears at par with already granted to other Employees.
The Director School Education Jammu gave a patient hearing and assured the deputation to consider their genuine demands.
