In a memorandum submitted to Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta and Dy Mayor Purnima Sharma, who along with Ex-MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta visited Ware House on Monday. General Secretary of Traders Federation Deepak Gupta put forth demands of trading community of the area. He urged upon the Mayor and Dy Mayor JMC to streamline sanitation system of the area badly hit due to apathy and lack of Safai Karamcharies whose number have come down from 18 to 2 at present thus causing lot of problems to the traders of the area. Gupta said that it would be productive if the traders will be provided with all the amenities required for better trading.
The Federation General Secretary stressed upon the better maintenance of the lighting system in the area. He pointed out that oldest wholesale market gripped with darkness as most of the lights in area are in damaged condition. Hence, a fervent appeal is made to install High Mast Lights at least five in number and other electric lights by removing the damaged lights lying in unworkable conditions in the area. Deepak Gupta further urged upon the Mayor and Dy Mayor to start the regular fogging of the area so that the traders as well as working class members could be able perform their work in neat and clean environs of the area. Earlier, President of Federation Rattan Lal Gupta honoured Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta, Dy Mayor Purnima Sharma and Ex-MLA Rajesh Gupta by presenting bouquets, shawls and mementos.
