Panthers, BJP betrayed people of Sumb: Sunny Sangral
1/1/2019 9:02:45 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Jan 1: Demanding backward area status for Sumb falling in Samba district, Congress today held protest along with local people of the area and accused Panthers party and BJP of betraying the people's mandate in the past.
Led by Congress leader Sunny Sangral, protesters said former MLAs belonging to both the parties who represented Samba constituency had assured people several times that Sumb will declared as backward area but nothing was done.
Sangral said that despite area having large population, Sumb deserves to have Degree College but the issue has not been forcefully taken up during the PDP-BJP government. He also demanded Tehsil status for Sumb.
"For years people of the area are demanding Tehsil as people living in surrounding hilly areas of Shivalik face lot of hardship to get their small issues addressed. They have to travel to Samba town for small issues", said Sangral.
