NSS wing GDC Kishtwar inaugurates 7 day winter camp

KISHTWAR, Jan 1: On occasion of Happy New Year and startup of first day of year 2019, NSS Unit of GDC Kishtwar started their seven days annual winter camp. The camp was inaugurated by the In-charge Principal Prof. S K Sen in presence of NSS Programme Officer Prof. Faisal Mushtaq Kichloo.
Kichloo divulged details said that, start up of New Year, the theme of the camp is fundamental duties among which 70 NSS Volunteers are participating in the camp. Scores of activities will be undertaken during the course of this camp like environmental awareness, plantation, women empowerment, preservation of cultural diversity, traffic management, communal hormony, health and hygiene, cleanliness and others.
Prominent Resourse persons from both District and Police Administration will also be invited for special lectures on important issues of the society. The camp will be held under the supervision of Prof. Faisal Mushtaq Kichloo (NSS Programme Officer).
It is pertinent to mention here that NSS Unit of GDC Kishtwar is one of the most active organisation in the state working on different issues. Recently NSS team has been recommended for State Award by the University of Jammu during SBSI programme and the unit has highest number of online registrations in the North India. In 2018around 100 NSS Volunteers from GDC Kishtwar were awarded Special Certificates signed by Secretary MHRD Sectretary Ministry of Drinking Water Sanitation and Secretary Youth affairs & Sports Govt of India.
