GDC kathua felicitates NSS Volunteer

KATHUA, Feb 2: NSS Volunteer Harneet Kaur of Semester three Govt. Degree College Kathua felicitated by Principal Sh.Kartar Chand for attending Republic Day Parade on 26th January 2019 at Rajpath New Delhi.She was one among the four volunteers who got selected from the State of Jammu and Kashmir for Republic Day Parade Camp at New Delhi on 26 January, 2019. She had been selected keeping in view the overall performance for parade, cultural activity, proficiency to express views on various social issues and an ability to depict the culture of the state to which the volunteer belonged. She was also adjudged as Most Valuable Volunteer of the Camp. During her entire camp she also got an opportunity to interact with President and Vice-President of India.She also got chance to visit historical places arranged by the concerned authorities. On this proud moment, the Principal of the college Prof. Kartar Chand congratulated and felicitated volunteer.She is the second consecutive volunteer to represent Govt degree college kathua in Republic Day Parade at New Delhi under the supervision of NSS Programme Officers Prof. Shikha, Prof. Manmohan Singh and Prof. Ritu Sharma.
