Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 2: Separatists in Kashmir have called for a shutdown on Sunday to protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said that PM Modi is visiting J&K to launch vital projects which would benefit people of the state. "These Pakistan stooges don't want any development to take place and want the Valley to burn. They are dancing to the tunes of their bosses sitting across the Line of Control," he added.
The analyst said that Hurriyat dove Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has no problem in talking with the Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi but he doesn't want to talk to the people like Dineshwar Sharma, who was appointed by the Centre as its special representative. "The so-called joint resistance leadership, comprising Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Hurriyat dove Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik are at the beck and call of the Pakistani leaders and have only one job i.e. to keep their bosses happy by disrupting the normal life in the Valley," the analyst added.
A politician said, "People of Kashmir should understand that these leaders who dance to the tunes of Pakistan are not their well wishers as their only aim is to pursue the agenda of Pakistan in Kashmir. They are helping neighbouring country to avenge the defeats which its army has suffered at the hands of the Indian Army during different wars."
He said that people of Kashmir need to tell the Pakistan stooges that they are not interested in the "dirty politics" which they are playing and they should be allowed to live in peace. "By opposing the PM's Kashmir visit the separatists are doing a big disservice to the people of the Valley as such acts tantamount to disrespecting office of the Prime Minister," the politician said.
A Kashmir watcher said that had these separatists been living in any other country and they would have opposed the PM's visit to their state they could have ended up in jail. "But India is a big democracy and even such things are overlooked. But they need to bear in mind that ant-national activities won't be tolerated and they won't be allowed to propagate Pakistan's agenda in Kashmir. They should stop selling dreams to people of Kashmir. If they are so much interested in Azadi and Pakistan then they need to pack their bags go there rather than vitiating the atmosphere in the Valley," he added.
