Blind murder case cracked, accused arrested
"To get rid from illicit relationship, alleged accused killed pregnant girlfriend"

Jammu, Feb 2: With the arrest of a youth who had illicit relations with a Bihar based girl whose body was found in Bermini Nala on January 30, Bahu Fort police today claimed to have cracked a murder mystery.
A police spokesman said that on 30-01-2019, information was received from reliable resources that partially deposed body of a female was dumped under heap of stones in Bermini nallah, Sunjwan Bathindi.
"Acting on the information, police party led by Vipan Chandran- SDPO East and Pervaiz Sajjad-SHO Bahu Fort immediately rushed to the spot and recovered the body", said spokesman adding that accordingly inquest proceeding under section 174 CrPC was initiated at police post Bathindi.
The spokesman said that during preliminary enquiry, identity of the deceased has been established as Gudia daughter of Rahim Mian of Chhappra, Bihar presently staying at Umar Colony Malik Market, Bathindi. The girl was missing from her residence since 4-1-2019.
"During the course of enquiry and after examination of witnesses and other relevant evidences police zeroed in one suspect namely Rajesh Ahirwar of Divyapura Raj Nagar, Chattarpur in Madhya Pradesh presently staying at GTB Nagar Malik Market, Bathindi who during questioning admitted that he killed the deceased girl by strangulating her and later on dumped her body in the said nallah under the heap of stones", said spokesman.
The spokesman said that the motive was to get rid of the said girl who was pregnant out of their illicit relationship which lasted for more than five years while the alleged culprit had married another girl from his native place in 2017.
Accordingly the inquest proceeding got converted into a case under FIR NO. 32/2019 under sections 302, 376 and 201 of RPC registered at police station Bahu Fort while further investigation is going on.
