Mehbooba turns Imran Khan's spokesperson
Even after martyrdom of 40 jawans she believes Pak PM deserves a chance

Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 20: President of the Peoples Democratic Party and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has suggested that Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan deserves a chance.
"Pak PM deserves a chance since he has recently taken over. Of course the war rhetoric (in India) has more to do with the impending elections that anything else," she wrote on the twitter.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said that "it seems that Mehbooba wants to act as the spokesperson of Imran Khan and is trying to appease the leaders sitting in Pakistan."
He said that despite the clear involvement of Pakistan based terror group JeM, which is patronized by the Pakistan army, in the Pulwama attack, Mehbooba believes that Imran Khan "deserves a chance." "She is trying to come for the rescue of the Pakistan leadership which has been rattled by the stern warning issued by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian armed forces," he added.
The analyst said that in Tuesday's speech Imran Khan looked nervous and he even said that he is ready to talk about terrorism with India. "Khan's nervous speech was an indication that he has realized that India is coming and its armed forces are preparing to hit Pakistan hard," he added.
An observer said that Mehbooba should stop appeasing the separatists and Pakistan. "She needs to realize that entire country is mourning the martyrdom of 40 brave hearts and the pall of gloom has descended over the entire country. Nation wants revenge. She acting as an advocate of Imran Khan has vindicated the stand of nationalist people that she has got separatist and pro-Pak leanings," the observer added.
A Kashmir watcher said that "Country is paying a heavy price for her soft policies towards terror and terrorists. During her tenure as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir she patronized the separatist elements. Had she not interfered with the functioning of the security agencies in Jammu and Kashmir situation in the Valley would not have turned from bad to worse. As Chief Minister she revived militancy in Kashmir."
He said that "She is aware about the fact that terrorists and terror groups in Kashmir enjoy the full support of Pakistan army and ISI and the Pulwama attack was carried out by their agents in the Valley. By advocating that Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan should be given a chance she is undermining the sacrifices of our brave jawans. She needs to be told clearly that she is crossing the line and it won't be tolerated."
