| GDC Akhnoor celebrates National Science Day | | |  Early Times Report
Akhnoor, Feb 28: On the eve of "National Science Day" a collage making competition on the topic "Latest Development in Science and Technology Innovations Lifting Us Up"was held at GDC Akhnoor under the guidance of Principal GDC Akhnoor, Prof. Kuldeep Raj Sharma who also inaugurated the event.
Around twenty students of different semesters participated in the competition and displayed their innovative collages with all the enthusiasm.
The Principal in his address stressed upon the importance of National Science Day as celebrated on 28th Feb. to mark the discovery of Raman Effect by the Indian Physicist Sir CV Raman.
Adding to it he highlighted the theme of National Science Day 2019. i.e. Science for the people and people for the Science in collage making competition. First prize was bagged by Madhu Manhas, Second prize by Tanvi Bhandhari and Third by Ritika Dhabia.
Additionally two consolation prizes were also given to Mahinder and Rashmi Singh. Prof. Chander Shekhar, Prof,. Tarsem Lal and Prof. Ashok Kumar were the judges of the event. The whole event was organized by Prof. Sughandha Mahajan and Prof. Manmeet Kour. |
