As country unites against Pak, Mehbooba sings in Imran's praise

Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 28: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) once again has proven where its loyalties are. At a time when country is united against Pakistan, PDP is the only political group that is busy hailing Pakistan.
Mehbooba Mufti lauded Pakistan PM Imran Khan for releasing captured IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman and said that he acted like a statesman. She also expressed hope that the Indian leadership will also reciprocate this peace gesture. Briefing the joint session of the parliament PM Khan announced that Varthaman will be released tomorrow as a "peace gesture".
"Good news, whole nation will be relieved. I hope our leadership will also reciprocate this peace gesture. I hope Imran Khan will stand by his word and take steps on Indian dossier on Pulwama attack," Mehbooba said.
Just two days ago, it was the same PDP that made an open offer even to separatists to join a united fight in Kashmir. In a press conference that the PDP President addressed at her fair view residence, she declared that separatists and people from other political ideologies should join her against the decisions being taken by the central government vis-a-vis Kashmir. "I think the time has come when we all should fight and resist ourselves. I even want separatists to join so that we could put up a joint effort all together," Mehbooba said and added that she is also in touch with NC vice President Omar Abdullah and they both will adopt a long term strategy.
It was interestingly on October 30, last year when Jammu and Kashmir Governor exposed PDP to the core and stated that when Mehbooba Mufti was the chief minister of the state, the recruitment of militants witnessed a spike and those pelting stones too found it easier to attack the security forces.
"I admit the fact that while Mehbooba Mufti was the chief minister of the state, the militant recruitment got increased and stone pelters too got away easily while pelting the stones. And what we are reaping at present is what the coalition did in the state but at that time those who were in alliance partners in the government should have reacted to the mistakes being done. Today, I am not answerable to their wrongs," Governor Malik had said in an interview then.
