With BJP leader's aid SP manages four transfers in ten months
2/28/2019 11:01:50 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 28: Making a complete mockery of the system, a Superintendent of Police has managed to get as many as four transfers in the last ten months as he was not satisfied with the postings he got during this period.
Sources said that the SP recently managed his transfer twice in two weeks adding that in the fresh case now, he has been posted in a place of his choice in district Jammu.
"The SP was able to get frequent transfers because he had the blessings of a top BJP leader, who is time and again helping him to pull off a choice posting. Now, that the officer has been placed at the post of his liking, he seems to have finally settled down," said sources.
Sources said that the KPS officer was assigned the charge of a key post a few days back though prior to that he was placed at another posting just a week ago but within seven days, he was able to manage a transfer again as he persuaded the BJP leader to do the needful.
"The officer joined the duty at the place where he was first transferred but he did not like that posting. So, he pushed hard to get himself shifted from there. His efforts bore fruits as finally he was able to get a transfer order issued in his favour and that too within seven days," said sources.
"Prior to this, in June last year, he was transferred to a district as an Additional SP. But after only three months, he got himself transferred as an Additional SP in a district of Kashmir region, however, the SP did not last long there also as he managed a transfer from there as well in five months," added sources.
Sources further said that the chain of transfers did not stop there only as following his transfer from the previous place of posting; the officer got himself transferred from the new posting within seven days.
"The officer was managing his frequent transfers with the covert and overt support of the senior BJP leader, who is very close to him. The officer is a resident of the BJP leader's area due to which his political master helps him off and on," said sources.
"The reason behind BJP leader's continuous support to the officer is that the former needs the latter to fortify his vote bank in the constituency he represents," added sources.
Sources said that the entire department is abuzz with the manner in which the officer has managed as many as four transfers in a few months.
