Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 25: J&K Youth Congress State Vice President Pankaj Basotra and State General Secretary & Ex National Coordinator Youth Congress Chetan Wanchoo today strongly condemned the National Conference EX MLA Mohd Akbar Lone for raising pro-Pakistan slogans in a public rally and stressed that appropriate action must be taken against the Leader and an FIR should be registered against Akbar Lone for his recent statements. "A serious cognizance should be taken in this regard as the action by NC Ex Minister & Ex MLA amounts to treason and poses a threat to democracy," they said in a statement, here this evening. The Youth Congress leader's said that Akbar Lone's action was not a slip of tongue but deliberate attempt, which was acknowledged by none but the Ex MLA himself. "Such an instigating and anti-national behavior was not expected from a senior leader, who has himself remained Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and Cabinet Minister," they said. They further said that National conference when in power toed the national line and when they are in opposition, they shout PAK slogans, the best part is nobody wants to leave India to go to Pakistan. "There is no logic in Lone's assertion that he had shouted pro-Pakistan slogans, they said adding that such an anti-national behavior was completely unacceptable to the peace loving nationalist people of this State.
