Honest police officer, who indicted Singh, forced to share common platform with him

Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 27: Former Director General of Police of the state, Ashok Bhan, who conducted the inquiry against the then Deputy Inspector General of Police and incumbent Police chief of J&K, Dilbag Singh, and indicted him in the Anantnag recruitment scam had to share a common platform with Singh due to him (Singh) being at the top post today. What an irony!
"It's very unfortunate that people who are known for their integrity and honesty have to share the same platform, where corrupt officers are invited as special guests due to the position they enjoy," said an analyst.
It is in place to mention here that then Director General of Police had ordered an enquiry into the Anantnag recruitment scam vide PHQ No:- APPtt-26536-37 dated 14-07-1998 and entrusted the same to Dr Ashok Bhan, IPS, IC Armed Police, J&K.
According to the inquiry report, Dr Bhan, who is known for his honesty and integrity, "after test checking of records and carrying out verification of 31 cases had came to conclusion that gross irregularities were committed while making the selection, raising doubts about the intentions of the Recruitment Board."
The inquiry had found Dilbag Singh "responsible" for gross irregularities.
