| KP migrants rue delay in cash assistance, ration slip books | | | Earlly Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 13: Kashmiri Pandit migrants have rued delay in monthly cash assistance to relief holders for the month of March 2019 and disbursement of ration slip books for the year 2019-20 during a meeting held here at Jagti camp today.
Lambasting unnecessary delay in disbursement of monthly cash assistance to relief holders KP migrants, social worker Sunil Pandita said that we are dependent on relief to make our both ends meet yet men at the helms are indifferent.
He said until former Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner M L Raina was on seat, there was no delay in disbursement of relief but the incumbent RRC is indifferent to our woes. He said people have shortage of ration too but ration slips have not been issued yet.
He wondered there was surplus casual staff working in different zones of camps but still no work was being done in stipulated time frame.
He urged incharge RRC to look personally into the matter and initiative be taken to release relief and ration slip books to relief holder KP migrants at earliest. |
