Glowing tributes paid to memory of slain RSS leader

Kishtwar, Apr 19: On the occasion of 11th Day Kriya of slain RSS leader Chanderkant Sharma who was killed by the militants in broad day light inside District Hospital Kishtwar on 9-04-2019, several top RSS leaders including All India Additional General Secretary Manmohan Vediya, Ramesh Papa paid glowing tributes to his memory. Besides BJP State President Ravinder Raina, former Ministers Bali Baghat, Sham Lal Chowdhary, Sunil Sharma, Shakti Raj Parihar, Ex MLA Bhaderwah Daleep Singh Parihar, BJP leader Ashok Koul, Munish Sharma, Som Nath Sharma, Rajinder Kumar and others also addressed the Kriya and remembered the slain leader.
Thousands of people including large number of women assembled at Bhartiya Vidhya Mandir School Kishtwar on the call given by the Sanathan Dharam Sabha and paid homage to the departed souls. Speaking on the occasion, the speakers while condemning the killings of Chanderkant Sharma said that today special prayers remembrance service in memory of the deceased RSS leader is the 94th such ceremony organized in memory of those killed by the militants since the onset of militancy in the state. They slammed the administration & police for their failure to protect the lives of the minority community and termed the killing of RSS leader and Parihar brothers as an attempt to force the exodus of the community by terrorizing them. The called upon the members of the community to remain united so that such forces could be defeated.
The speakers called upon the government for handing over Kishtwar district to Army. They also sought installation of bunkers, CCTV cameras, strengthening of SOG in Kishtwar, closing of all entry and exit points of prominent public places.
They called for immediate action against the culprits involved in the killings. They said that they will not allow another exodus on the pattern of Kashmiri migrants and called upon the people to fight anti national elements tooth and nail.
Meanwhile Minority community including the traders association observed complete shutdown against the failure of the administration and police to nab the culprits.
All schools, business establishment and private traffic remained off the roads to show the solidarity with the braved families. On this occasion, daughter of slain Ajeet Kumar Parihar called for unity among the minority community adding that the martyrdom of her late father, her uncle Anil Parihar, Chanderkant Sharma and Rajinder Kumar will not go waste.
She said that such killings will not affect the morale of the minority community.
