GEAF discusses various issues

Jammu, May 16: Government Employees Action Forum (GEAF) today organized general house meeting under the chairmanship of S. Gurmeet Singh in which several issues were discussed.
Many burning issues of the state govt. and PSU employees has been discussed in threadbare. It was recalled that the state employees have been stressing hard for change in office time from 8.00am to 2.00 pm as for the past practice in vogue, speedy regularilization of casual workers and others as per SRO 520, enhancement of medical allowance from 300 to 5000 per month, introduction of Medical Insurance Scheme for state govt. employees shortly or otherwise return the already deducted premium of the employees for their salary account and revival of LTC Scheme also etc.
The discussion was held also on the impugned circular of DC Jammu which was issued yesterday for banning the agitational actions of the govt. employees organization during working hours.
All the members of the house have strongly condemned and reject the so called circular of the state Govt. with one voice. They alleged the state govt. wanted to curb the fundamental rights of the trade union organization.
The prominently leader of the organization who were the part of the today meeting were Ganesh Khajuria, Sushil Sudan, Subash Verma, Nazir Ahmed Bhat, Maheshwar Parshed, Ashish Sharma, umar Jan, Hari Singh, Jagdish Sharma, Rakesh Mangotra, and Ravi Kumar.
