Early Times Report
Jammu, May 17: Owing to various reasons especially misleading information from the field staff, the much hyped Governor's cell goes in vain.
There is no denying the fact that the Cell makes public number of complaints received, but due to lack of monitoring of received complaints, most of the complaints are gathering dust in offices of heads of various departments. "Complaint numbers 999001036557, 999001085466 were filed with the grievance cell in the month of January this, however, the Cell further forwarded the both complaints to Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), but lapse of four months no actions have taken on ground", they said and added in another case a complaint regarding encroachment on hospital's building in Kalakote in district Rajouri also remained un addressed till date.
"A complaint vide no. 999000944240 dated 30/08/2018 was filled on J&K Online Grievance Cell (copies of current status of the complaint is attached), unfortunately, the encroached building has been vacated by both agencies (Health Department and the Revenue Department) till date", they said and added it had been learnt despite repeated reminders from the Grievance Cell, the field staff of these departments is trying to shield one or other pretext.
"According to locals from Kalakote town, the Health Department had purchased the hospital building from J&K Mineral Ltd in late 80s, and it was only hospital for entire population of Kalakote Tehsil, however, later a new building with advanced facilities was constructed near Tehsil Office Kalakote, in the mean time the old building was being used as store by hospital administration", they said and added that after failure of the cell, the same complaint was sent to [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] March 31, 2019 along with photographs of encroached building, but Revenue officials who have hands in glove with the encroachers sent a manipulative report to shield their masters'.
They further said that another complaint filed with cell vide number 999001100747 and 999001100781 dated 14/03/2019 also remained un-addressed. Public appealed the Governor taking above mentioned complaints to logical conclusion, also constitute a monitoring committee for received complaints, so that the cell could serve its purpose.
